Cosmic Zome
Artist: Papa Flow
The Cosmic Zome is a 13 foot tall, 20 foot diameter, projection-mapped zome. Unlike traditional geodesic domes which are built out of triangles, a zome is a similar structure built from kite shapes instead of triangles. This small twist creates a beautiful geometric shape suggesting sacred geometry, with the top of the zome forming the petals of a flower. The frame is covered with 84 panels, and multiple projectors inside the zome will create a 360 degree continuous video experience for you to enjoy. Come by, relax, and get lost regardless of your level of sobriety!
Chris Durand a.k.a. Papa Flow has built a number of large scale art projects, mostly focusing on LED art and projection mapping. Projects include a 20 foot diameter projection mapped dome, two 8 foot tall LED towers, projection mapping a 16 foot box truck, a 1 foot per side 3D printed infinity cube, and more. Much of his artwork is featured at his Burning Man camp Comic Creatures where he is a founding member and the stage/sound lead. He is also founder and board member of Cosmic Creatures Collective, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to advancing arts education and promoting the development of visual and performing arts.
