What, How Much, and Some Limitations
Ignition Philter awards art grants up to $575 per piece. This year we continued our experiment with larger grants and were willing to award up to $1000 to 3 projects. A team may apply for more than one grant if the pieces can be viable separately and if the pieces can be independent and different people will accept the award.
The funds can be used for materials and supplies and anything it takes to get the art made. We ask that artists cover their own ticket, camping gear, and other personal expenses. We will allow consideration of art car funding if the mutant vehicle will transport the general Pyropolis public.
Being awarded an Ignition Philter art grant does not guarantee you entry into the event. Artists must still complete the Burning Flipside ticket acquisition process, and follow all applicable entrance rules.
